In June 2020 RAI Automotive Industry NL together with the ministry of Economic Affairs and RVO (Netherlands Enterprise Agency) will present the Dutch automotive industry and it’s innovative ecosystem at the NAIAS in Michigan, USA. The NAIAS is officially announced as a strategic fair by the Topsector HTSM. Our presence at the NAIAS is part of the official Innovation Mission, supported by RVO. State secretary Mona Keijzer is invited to join us on this mission.

About the NAIAS (North American International Auto Show)
The NAIAS (also known as the Detroit Motor Show) has a long history and is the biggest automotive show in North America and brings together the world’s top automotive companies and their executives, designers, R&D engineers and technological innovation leaders.

Why Michigan?
In this centre of design, engineering and manufacturing expertise, Michigan is leading the automotive industry’s evolution from traditional manufacturing to research, testing, and deployment of next-generation mobility technologies.

Comprised of top-notch manufacturers (Ford, GM and FCA), technology companies, access to the global supply chain, a highly skilled workforce, and best-in-class research institutions, Michigan is home to the world’s most dense automotive industry cluster and is well-positioned to drive the industry’s transformation and growth into the next decades. More information: https://www.planetm.com/why-michigan/ and also in the brochure ‘Michigan is Automobility’.

Recently, the Michigan Market-scan report is launched. This report is produced directed by the ministry of Economic Affairs, RVO, the Dutch Embassy in Washington D.C. and the consulate in Chicago and RAI Automotive Industry NL.

Michigan, USA and The Netherlands
Recognizing that other countries have a key role in the development of automotive technology, testing and deployment, Michigan has entered into an agreement with The Netherlands. In 2018 the Dutch State Secretary Keijzer of Economic Affairs and the Governor of Michigan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Both parties want to use their strengths and assets of their automotive sectors to promote sustainable growth and to support innovation and relationships.

What we can offer
The NAIAS is a two-week show. As the second week is for general public, the first week is dedicated to business partners and press. During that week, we organise an Innovation Mission and national pavilion for our partners. Monday June 8th and Friday June 12th we organise several company visits and matchmaking events in the Detroit region. In between (June 9-11) Automobili-D will be organized as a three-days event at the NAIAS. Here we will present the Dutch innovative automotive- and mobility community via a collective ‘Holland High Tech pavilion’. Within this pavilion a number of stands will be available for co-exhibitors to present yourself as a company, your products, services, innovations and activities.

The NAIAS will be a week with great opportunities to present yourself and your company in the Automotive hotspot of the USA and gain international contacts for future trade and/or cooperation’s. Naturally the NAIAS gives you an unique opportunity to see all innovations on a global level and connect with fellow exhibitors in an informal way.

Practical information
We are in close coordination with the NAIAS organisation to ensure that we will have one of the best positions at the NAIAS exhibition. We will implement the well-known Holland High Tech concept in the Pavilion (about 181m2) to accommodate the stands (about 10 m2 each) for every co-exhibitor, with possibilities for your own look and feel. Included in each stand is a high top table, 2 bar stools, 1 back wall graphic and of course electricity and internet access. In the Holland High Tech Pavilion itself will be enough space to facilitate matchmaking.

Our Holland High Tech Pavilion is a common booth concept with a good atmosphere, where new, sustainable business contacts can be established and existing contacts can be intensified. We take care of you and your guests and guarantee the best possible reception and atmosphere to welcome your relationships. With special events, we also ensure that our pavilion assures a high degree of visitor traffic and attract many decision-makers in the automotive industry.

Costs co-exhibiting
The price per co-exhibitor is: € 4.000,-.
For RAI members we offer a discount of € 1.000,- so the price will be € 3.000,-.
Additionally, RVO (Netherlands Enterprise Agency) offers a subsidy of € 1.500,- for SME’s which could bring the total price down to € 1.500,- per co-exhibitor.

Travel & Hotel
RAI Automotive Industry NL can advise co-exhibitors upon a travel schedule & hotel accommodation. The price is excluding Transport & accommodation (flight approx. € 1.000,- p.p and hotel € 1.000,- p/w).
