Datum: 7 december 2020

Tijd: 10:00 tot 11:00

Locatie: Online webinar

Have you developed an innovative product, a piece of technology or coded in an innovative way? We can imagine that you want to protect your invention. But how? And where to begin?

The company Intricate Research will provide an overview on different types of IP such as copyrights, patents, trademarks, geographical indications, domain names and trade secrets. Thereafter, they will focus their talk on patents and its importance. They will speak about how it has become increasingly clear that IP strategy and management is essential to an organization and how it drives performance, gives competitive edge, and provides longevity. Before providing insights on the patent outsourcing, they will also talk about the key patent services that can be outsourced. Broadly speaking, the patent services can be classified in 5 broadheads: patent searching, patent analytics, SEP analysis, preparation and prosecution, and monetization.

This webinar will encompass various aspects and dimensions relating to outsourcing of patent drafting, research, and analysis. It will shed light on the fact that outsourcing provides a more effective operating environment at the backend, enabling a competitive edge over the potential competitors, aiming to enter the marketplace with a similar product, process, or brand. Thus, patent service providers can present an organisation with an optimal solution through efficient IP support functions, enabling them to focus on their core businesses leading to increased productivity and improved profitability. Also, Intricate Research will discuss various engagement models: FTE (or dedicated resource), on-demand Model, and hybrid model (and which to use along with their pros and cons). Subsequently, we will touch upon competencies of a good service provider and some common requirements before outsourcing. Then, we present a case study/ landscape study on 'Autonomous Cars'.
