We are excited to announce our participation at JEC World 2025, the leading international trade show for the composites industry. From March 4–6, 2025, Freek de Bruijn, Program Manager Design & Materials, will represent RAI Automotive Industry NL at the CompositesNL booth (Stand 5F107).
This is a unique opportunity to connect with experts, discover the latest innovations in composite materials, and explore how these advancements drive the future of mobility. Freek will be available to discuss how RAI AINL supports the Dutch automotive industry through programs focused on smart mobility, green mobility, manufacturing, materials, and design.
ELA ELCA celebration during JEC 2025
Officially announcing the merger of ELA and ELCA during the JEC at the Dutch pavilion (5F105). The announcement of our collaboration will fall under the networking cocktail event from the Dutch embassy in France. This will be on Wednesday 5 March, from 16:30 to 18:00. Several announcements will be made during this event, and we will be part of the program. The format of the cocktail is networking, so long presentations do not fit the format.

11:30-12:00: Automotive: Mass Production of Composites
- Freek de Bruijn | RAI Automotive Industry NL: The role of composites in the Dutch automotive sector, including thermoplastic welding for mass-producing composite bus parts and more.
- Sjef van Breugel | Pontis Engineering BV: Thermoplastic (TP) welding offers an efficient way of replacing adhesive bonding. In this presentation, the opportunities for the application of TP welding in large structures of commercial vehicles such as trucks and buses will be discussed.
- Michiel Wassink | VDL Fibertech: VDL Fibertech manufactures the sidewall panels for the newest electric VDL Citea buses. These large panels, measuring 2.8 by 2.6 meters, are mass-produced on a conveyor belt
