Solutrans: European trade fair for truck manufacturers

The previous edition in 2021 was synonymous with the Solutrans comeback: more than 55,000 professionals came to the show, and both exhibitors and visitors reported a satisfaction rate of more than 95%. Solutrans 2023 already seems well on its way to becoming the largest trade fair for truck manufacturers in Europe. Among others, DAF, Ford Trucks, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Renault Trucks, and Scania will be present.

Specialised companies in the field of new energy and mobility will also present their vision at this year's Solutrans. In addition, the fair welcomes some of the largest trailer and semi-trailer manufacturers from around the world. With almost 25 percent international exhibitors and the presence of some 20 European countries, Solutrans confirms its international reputation.

Energy Transition

Energy transition will be a key topic in the ambitious Solutrans 2023 exhibition program and will focus on 5 main themes:

  • New forms of energy: diversifying engines: a challenge for the economy and the environment
  • Urban distribution: alternative distribution methods for a less crowded city center
  • Retrofitting: upgrading existing vehicles: an economic and ecological option
  • Driver assistance & connected solutions: technology for safety and performance
  • Tyres: an efficient total solution focused on industry challenges

Visitors will have the chance to discover an increasingly diverse mix of content and exhibition areas reflecting industry trends:

  • A cargobike area: with a track to test the cargobike and other players in the sector.
  • Focus on vans: between rapidly rising vehicle prices and access restrictions to cities, vans are at the center of attention.
  • A testvillage where new products will be demonstrated on 2 test circuits.
  • A test circuit inside the exhibition building to let visitors drive vehicles themselves (especially electric ones).
  • A second circuit will be located outside the exhibition building to test vehicles in real road conditions over a distance of almost 25 km.
  • Three conference rooms: with 50 thematic meetings to highlight the sector's bottlenecks and possible solutions.

International Truck of The Year Award

As in past editions, Solutrans will again present the International Truck of The Year Award, the Truck Innovation Award, the International Van of the Year Award, plus the International Pick-Up Award. So innovation is also in the spotlight here.

Besides a record number of participants from the Netherlands, this year's upcoming Solutrans will also feature the RAI Association's Holland Pavilion, representing several leading companies in the transport sector. The pavilion will serve as a platform for Dutch companies to present their innovative products, technologies, and services to the international audience. Visitors can look forward to a wide range of cutting-edge solutions and business opportunities offered by these renowned companies.
