Brainport Development invites Dutch innovators to join the Dutch delegation at the Battery Show Trade Mission in Detroit, Michigan.
Brainport Development, together with RAI Automotive Industry NL, Battery Competence Cluster - NL, Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO)(RVO), Nederlands Consulaat Generaal in Chicago, and other partners, is organising a trade mission around North America’s largest event for advanced battery technology: The Battery Show.
The mission will focus on five strategic tracks:
- Development: Next-gen technologies, raw materials, recycling
- Battery In-Use: Manufacturing, safety, performance
- EV Development: R&D investments, regulation, international collaboration
- EV In-Use: Vehicle innovation, charging infrastructure, field experience
- New Applications: Heavy-duty transport and stationary storage systems
The program includes:
- B2B matchmaking and networking
- Guided visits to The Battery Show and selected pavilions
- Company visits in the Detroit area
- Sector deep dives and knowledge exchange
- Meetings with industry leaders, including Ford Motor Company, Tesla, Rivian, Samsung Electronics, CATL Battery, A123 Systems, BorgWarner, and others
Detroit is the heart of the US automotive sector, home to OEMs like Ford and General Motors and major suppliers such as Magna International.
This mission welcomes Dutch start-ups, scale-ups, SMEs, public organisations, and research institutions. Ideal for those seeking entry into or expansion in the US market for sustainable mobility or battery tech.
