Mission: SIA Powertrain France (Lille)

From June 18 to 20, 2024, ARIA Hauts-de-France, Nord France Invest, the Netherlands Embassy in Paris and RAI Automotive Industry NL are hosting a Dutch powertrain delegation to the North of France. We would like to invite you to join us on this mission.

This mission allows you to discover the Powertrain ecosystem in Hauts-de-France through various site visits, participation in events and exchanges moments. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to establish contact with members of the ARIA Hauts-de-France network to identify potential subjects for collaboration.

The 3-day program includes visits to the well-known SIA Powertrain International Congress and visits to the Port of Dunkerque and the Stellantis Factory in Hordain.

Participation

To ensure a high-quality mission, the number of participants will be limited to a maximum of 20. Participants will be requested to provide information about their fields of business and interest to ensure a tailored mission.

About SIA POWERTRAIN

The 36th SIA POWERTRAIN International Conference will take place in Lille this year. The need for a rapid reduction of greenhouse gas emissions is leading to an unprecedented transformation of the automotive industry. Powertrain technologies are key to support this transformation whilst responding to the evolution of mobility needs and assuring its affordability.

The 36th SIA POWERTRAIN // Lille 2024 conference will address the full spectrum of technologies for applications ranging from short range small urban mobility up to long range commercial vehicles.

The SIA POWERTRAIN conference is recognized by automotive stakeholders as an exceptional and unique technical event. International OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, Engineering Companies, and many more will share their latest technologies, projects and results.

The June 2024 edition, for the first time, will move to a new location in France. Lille is located nearby numerous new plants, development centers and initiatives taken by the automotive industry to support these new powertrains. The conference will take place in the city center and provides plenty of opportunity to have a drink and continue exchanging with your peers before and after the conference days.

About the port of Dunkerque

The port of Dunkirk is one of the most important ports in France. During the mission, the CAP2020 project will be highlighted. Cap2020 is an ambitious project that aims to modernise and make the port of Dunkirk more sustainable. It focuses on expanding and improving infrastructure, promoting environmentally friendly initiatives and boosting the local economy. Cap2020 is also committed to integrating advanced technologies into port operations, such as digitisation, automation and smart logistics solutions, to increase efficiency and reduce costs. By integrating advanced technologies and collaborating with various stakeholders, Cap2020 aims to make the port more efficient and competitive, ready for the future. About Stellantis

Stellantis, formed by the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and PSA Group in 2021, is a global automotive giant with brands such as Peugeot, Citroën, Jeep, Fiat, and Opel.

A key production site within Stellantis is its plant in Hordain, France. This plant will be visited during the mission. In Hordain, the focus is on the production of light commercial vehicles for brands such as Peugeot Expert, Citroën Jumpy, and Opel Vivaro. The Hordain plant plays a crucial role in Stellantis' sustainable mobility strategy by producing both conventional and electric commercial vehicles.
