"The Netherlands has everything it takes to play a leading role in the energy transition. Batteries are a crucial link in this process," says Mustafa Amhaouch. "Together with our partners, I look forward to applying my experience and vision to build a strong, sustainable, and innovative battery industry with BCC-NL."
According to Pim Grol, Chairman of BCC-NL, Mustafa Amhaouch’s experience and engagement in both politics and the business sector make him a perfect fit for the foundation’s ambitions. "With Mustafa’s leadership and vision, we are confident that we can take the next steps in strengthening and expanding the battery ecosystem," says Grol.
Battery Competence Cluster-NL is the leading knowledge and innovation cluster focused on the development and growth of the battery ecosystem across the entire Dutch battery value chain, with a strong international perspective. The organization brings together companies, research institutions, and government entities to stimulate innovation and collaboration, addressing all aspects of the battery value chain, including production, recycling, and material development.
The foundation also extends its gratitude to Dirk van Asseldonk, who has contributed with great dedication and energy to developing BCC-NL in recent years. His efforts and vision have laid a solid foundation for the cluster’s future. "Dirk has played a crucial role in strengthening collaboration between industry, research institutions, and government. We are deeply grateful for his contributions," says Pim Grol.
With the appointment of Mustafa Amhaouch, we look ahead with confidence to the future and our commitment to building a strong and competitive battery industry in the Netherlands.
