A key finding from the study is that the transformation towards a more sustainable and future-proof mobility sector relies on innovation, strategic investments, and cross-border collaboration. The study also highlights concrete opportunities for Dutch companies looking to expand their activities in Germany.
Sustainable Mobility Collaboration
The presentation of the sector study also marked the launch of the extension of the public-private Strategic Multi-Year Market Development Program (SMM) on sustainable mobility in Germany. Running until 2027, the program aims to strengthen the position of the Dutch mobility sector in the German market. The insights from the study form the foundation for four new focus areas within the program:
- V2X & Smart Infrastructure
- Data & Software-based Services
- V2G & Smart Charging
- Battery Electric Trucks (BET)
The program includes a wide range of activities to actively support the sector, such as organizing a collective pavilion at the IAA in Munich, hosting co-innovation days with German OEMs and Tier 1 companies, and coordinating a visit to the Hannover Messe. These initiatives offer Dutch companies excellent opportunities to showcase their expertise and build partnerships in the German market.
