What made you decide to become a member of RAI Automotive Industry NL?

Simply the benefits the association brings, such as a network of Dutch automotive companies that can generate sales leads or other types of cooperation, participation in exhibitions for greater exposure, company visits to take a look inside other organisations, and joining trade missions to find customers and partners across Europe.

What value do you hope to bring to the RAI Automotive Industry NL network?

Vestel Mobility is part of Vestel Electronics, a consumer electronics company exporting to more than 160 countries worldwide. Leveraging our extensive customer network, market recognition, strong manufacturing background, and talented professionals, we established Vestel Mobility and increased our focus on the mobility sector. This experience in consumer electronics gives us a significant advantage in the transformation of the automotive sector, which is turning vehicles into smart consumer electronics devices. We aim to be a key player in the mobility sector, producing battery energy storage systems, electric vehicle chargers, and automotive components—essential elements of the mobility ecosystem. We are also a shareholder in TOGG, Türkiye’s first and only electric vehicle. Following this partnership, we expanded our automotive electronics division and became a key component supplier to TOGG. Over the years, we have become deeply involved in the automotive sector by manufacturing and supplying components such as displays, ECUs, and BCMs for major OEMs. Our flexibility as an EMS partner for Tier-1s and OEMs provides a significant advantage for customers. We strongly believe we can share these experiences within the RAI network and contribute to the community. With more than a decade of experience in EVC production and the advantage of being the market leader in Türkiye, we are rapidly increasing our presence in the European EVC market, supported by our broad product range and state-of-the-art technologies. In addition to manufacturing battery energy storage systems to support EVCs, we also produce ESS solutions connected to renewable energy fields, positioning ourselves as a key contributor to sustainability. In this regard, we believe we can create meaningful synergies as a strategic partner within the RAI AINL network.

Could you share an example of a complex project where your expertise played a pivotal role?

The TOGG cockpit experience projects (displays) and the Ford F-Max BCM & Key Fob projects are among the important and complex projects in our portfolio. The Ford project was a fully in-house design, including the testing equipment. The BCM covers key functionalities of the F-Max truck, such as vehicle lighting and windshield wipers, as well as cab tilting. A multidisciplinary team of over 40 engineers collaborated to make this a success. Additionally, the production of TOGG’s PEU (power electronic unit) is a highly significant project that makes us unique in the region as a manufacturer of such a complex electronic component for an OEM.

How does your extensive experience in automotive electronics enhance your product offerings?

With nearly 40 years of experience in TV and display manufacturing, we leverage this expertise to deliver end-to-end display production solutions to the automotive industry as a trusted European manufacturing partner. Our optical design team stays fully up to date with the latest market developments and display technologies, using their expertise to develop cost-competitive, state-of-the-art solutions. In addition, thanks to our know-how in power electronics and consumer electronics manufacturing and design, we are a European player capable of rapidly designing and producing products such as BCMs and ECUs in close collaboration with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers. We have been designing and manufacturing all of our own power boards for the past 20 years.

Can you share more about the innovations Vestel Mobility brings in the electric vehicle charging space, and how this technology helps businesses transition to an electric fleet?

With our MCS (megawatt charger), 720 kW satellite-type EVC products and state-of-the-art software solutions designed for growing electric fleets, we support the e-truck and e-bus industries, which are expected to play a major role in reducing carbon emissions. Our ability to manufacture in-house power modules capable of withstanding high temperatures and ensuring high reliability is a significant differentiator. Through our advanced air- and liquid-cooled solutions, we position ourselves as a trusted partner for electric fleet operators. Additionally, being a global patent holder in ESS technology enables us to provide seamless energy flow from ESS to the grid.

Where do you see Vestel Mobility in five years, and what steps do you need to take to achieve that goal?

As Vestel Mobility, we aim to play a significant role as a component manufacturer and supplier in the ongoing transformation of the automotive sector and to become a prominent player in the evolving automotive landscape through partnerships and collaborations with European companies. With our EVC and battery systems solutions, we support the key pillars of the mobility sector through innovative technologies and a wide range of products.
