E-BOOST Project Wraps Up After Driving Innovation Across Europe’s E-Mobility Sector

The E-BOOST project (ElectromoBility for the recOvery and internatiOnalisation of Small enTerprises) is an important initiative co-funded by the European Union’s Single Market Programme. Its main objective is to accelerate the green and digital transition within the European e-mobility sector by providing comprehensive support to small and medium-sized enterprises.

This collaboration involves a consortium of six partners from Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Poland, working together to create a dynamic and resilient ecosystem for e-mobility. The project ran from December 2022 to May 2025 and was strategically designed to help SMEs innovate, internationalize, and strengthen their competitiveness in a rapidly changing market.

A key component of the E-BOOST project is financial support for SMEs. With a total budget of €1.38 million, a significant portion—approximately €700,000—was specifically allocated to direct funding through a series of “Open Calls.” These calls provide grants of up to €60,000 per project, targeting innovative products, services, and processes. The funding is divided into several categories to meet diverse needs: grants for the development of new products, support for external services such as intellectual property management and life cycle assessments, and vouchers for training programs to enhance employee skills.

Thanks to the E-BOOST project, the French company EV4 France and RAI AI NL member Drive Line Systems (DLS) have joined forces to bring the AEMotion vehicle to the Dutch market. The collaboration emerged from meetings and joint projects organized within the framework of E-BOOST. From October 2025, it will be possible to place pre-orders for the vehicle. The AEMotion vehicle will be available at DLS as a Vehicle-as-a-Service (VaaS) solution, meaning customers can use the vehicle through a subscription model. Pilot production will start in 2026.
