Why did you become a member of RAI Automotive Industry NL?
As an active player in the Dutch automotive innovation ecosystem, we joined RAI Automotive Industry NL to strengthen our position and expand our professional network. The membership connects us with innovation-driven companies and institutions, offering opportunities to share knowledge, collaborate, and stay at the forefront of industry developments.
What do you hope to contribute to the network?
Our aim is to share expertise in modular control systems- especially in the areas of flexible prototyping and low-volume production. We bring hands-on experience from real-world applications in hydrogen systems, vehicle control, and remote monitoring. This knowledge can support other members involved in field testing, system integration, or next-generation mobility projects.
What makes the GOcontroll Moduline controller different from other controllers on the market?
The Moduline controller stands out for its modularity. Users can combine interchangeable modules to build application-specific systems- without needing in-house electronics or software expertise. With built-in secure cloud connectivity, the controller supports remote access, real-time data monitoring, and over-the-air updates. These features make it an ideal platform for connected embedded systems in dynamic environments.
What project are you currently working on that you are most proud of?
We’re especially proud of our contribution to several hydrogen fuel cell systems, developed in partnership with a fellow technology provider. Our hardware and software solutions are currently deployed in a variety of industrial and mobile applications, demonstrating both the reliability and flexibility of our control platform in demanding energy systems.
In which area of embedded systems do you see the biggest impact on the automotive sector in the next five years?
The greatest impact will likely come from the integration of embedded control with cloud connectivity- enabling remote diagnostics, over-the-air software updates, and data-driven control strategies. While this is becoming the standard for large OEMs, our mission is to make this full development pipeline accessible to smaller, innovation-driven companies. With our modular, ready-to-deploy platform, we empower SMEs to apply advanced technologies without needing complex internal infrastructure.
Bonus question - If your company were a vehicle, what type would it be - and why?
We’d be a modular expedition vehicle: robust, adaptable, and built for tough environments. Just like such a vehicle, our controllers are made to perform reliably in the field, support flexible configurations, and evolve with the mission at hand.
