1. Why did you decide to become a member of RAI Automotive Industry NL?

I decided to become a member of RAI Automotive Industry NL because I strongly believe in collaboration and networking as the foundation for accelerating the transition towards sustainable mobility. By joining this strong network, I can connect with leading players in the sector, exchange innovative ideas, and contribute to shaping the future of electric transportation in the Netherlands and other countries.

2. What value do you hope to add to the RAI Automotive Industry NL network?

My aim is to bring strategic insights and practical expertise to the RAI Automotive Industry NL community, particularly in guiding companies through the complex journey of fleet electrification and charging infrastructure planning. With my experience in advising SMEs, municipalities, and governmental bodies, I hope to foster valuable collaborations and deliver practical, scalable solutions within the network.

3. How do you see the future of electric driving in the Netherlands, and what developments do you expect in the next five years?

The future of electric driving in the Netherlands is promising but also challenging. In the next five years, I expect significant progress in battery technology, standardization of charging infrastructure, and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capabilities. These developments will further increase the efficiency and sustainability of fleets. However, the pace of transition strongly depends on proactive policy support, financial attractiveness, and close collaboration among stakeholders.

4. What are the main challenges companies face when transitioning to electric vehicles, and how can they overcome them?

One of the biggest challenges companies face when transitioning to electric vehicles is uncertainty around charging infrastructure, limited grid capacity, and dealing with potential operational disruptions. Companies can overcome these obstacles by adopting strategic planning approaches and implementing smart, dynamic energy management solutions. With expert guidance, they can optimize their existing energy infrastructure without large upfront investments, enabling them to adapt and successfully overcome these challenges.

5. What role does energy management play in your charging infrastructure, and how does this help companies in the transition to a more sustainable fleet?

Energy management is crucial in my approach to charging infrastructure. It ensures that companies can efficiently utilize their existing electrical connections, minimize costs, and avoid unnecessary grid upgrades. By applying smart charging solutions, load balancing, and peak shaving strategies, companies can significantly reduce their energy expenses while ensuring reliable charging capacity. This makes the transition to an electric fleet both economically and environmentally sustainable.

6. Where do you see It’s electric in five years?

In five years, I see It’s electric as a recognized thought leader and the go-to partner in the Dutch mobility sector. The company will be successfully facilitating the transition to electric driving for numerous businesses and municipalities. My goal is to establish a strong national presence, offering comprehensive consultancy and innovative solutions that deliver measurable sustainability results and significant cost savings for my clients.
