The Dutch automotive industry is highly dependent on exports. Of the total annual turnover, about 20 billion euros, almost 90% comes from exports. RAI Automotive Industry NL is committed to supporting its members internationally. This involves building and maintaining relationships, promoting innovation, and trade relations with a special focus on Germany, France, and the United States.

In the Netherlands, we have a complex and busy transport system. Vehicle automation is promoted as a way to improve transport safety and efficiency. Companies involved in vehicle automation have to comply with specific standards and legislation. SafeCLAI is developing a generic safety layer for autonomous vehicles, enabling more efficient assessment procedures.

Charging Energy Hubs
The project facilitates and accelerates the transition around the electrification of the logistics sector in the Netherlands by removing existing financial, legal and organisational barriers and developing technological innovations that enable the incorporation of, among other things, charging infrastructure, battery storage and renewable energy sources within our existing electricity networks, even if that network is subject to congestion.
